The unique AquaNu ceramic is patented in 23 countries securing global IP protection. The AquaNu ceramic is engineered to provide a low pressure, high flow through a highly durable, non-biofouling high porosity ceramic material structure that possess a super high surface area. The net result is a high porosity ceramic that facilitates passage of water through the material structure with low pressure with the objective of removing targeted contaminants as small as half a micro thus will remove bacteria from water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to the unique material structure of the AquaNu material and as a result of product technology development AquaNu has divided its patented high porosity ceramic technology into two distinct areas which it classifies as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ACTIVE FILTRATION:<\/strong> This is where all the water is presented to and passed through the AquaNu ceramic for the purpose of improving the quality of the water by removing targeted contaminants as small as half a micron which is the size of the smallest known bacteria. The objective is to improve the quality of the filtered permeate to that of the influent. By active it is meant that all the water is actively passed through the AquaNu ceramic material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n PASSIVE PRESERVATION<\/strong>: This is where the AquaNu ceramic is placed into a body of potable water for the purpose of keeping this water pure by preventing and protecting the water from bacterial contamination. The AquaNu makes direct contact with some of the water and more of the water through physical movement of the water and the ceramic. The AquaNu ceramic makes indirect contact with the rest of the water via Brownian motion, convectional currents, and dynamic equilibrium.
